Family Planning Program
The Family Planning Program helps fund clinic sites across the state to provide quality, comprehensive, low-cost, and accessible family planning and reproductive healthcare services to women and men in Texas. These services help people determine the number and spacing of their children, reduce unintended pregnancies, improve future pregnancy and birth outcomes, and improve general health.
Contractors participating in the Family Planning Program can access necessary information regarding policies, billing forms and more online at:
- Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) – Family Planning Program
- FY17 Family Planning Program Policy Manual - Update Effective July 1, 2016
- The Texas LARC Toolkit: Texas Medicaid Policy on Providing Long-Acting Reversible Contraception Services
- The Texas Clinician’s Postpartum Depression Toolkit: A resource for Texas clinicians on screening, diagnosis and treatment of postpartum depression (PPD). The toolkit also includes coverage and reimbursement options for PPD through Medicaid, CHIP, the Healthy Texas Women program, the Family Planning Program, and other referral options.
